Black Current
The Kumano Sea spreads
out before our eyes, infinite and blue, as the white waves swell
and splash, rich and abundant with the energy of the sun. The
Black Current incessantly carries to Kumano's shores the life breath of some foreign
land, from some far away island or continent like a vein carries
blood. The great ocean breathes as one living body where myriad
lives are nurtured. The ocean breathes as if it were able to wash
away all human sorrow, unhappiness and delusion, and bury them
all at the bottom of the deep blue sea.
